Clinton’s Republican Guard

May 7th, 2013 - 12:44 pm

Naturally, it was during Mullen’s tenure on the Joint Chiefs that the Defense Department labeled the Fort Hood atrocity “workplace violence,” filing a lengthy investigative report that – in Benghazi ARB fashion – omitted any mention of “Islam” and “jihad” in analyzing thirteen murders carried out by a jihadist who, after consulting with al Qaeda’s Awlaki, screamed “Allahu Akbar!” as he pumped round after round into American soldiers. It was also during Mullen’s stint that the Defense Department purged intelligence training materials of information Obama’s Brotherhood consultants found to be disparaging of Islam (i.e., any information demonstrating that Islamic supremacist ideology is virulently anti-Western and leads, inexorably, to violence). Herb London hits the nail on the head: under Mullen, in lieu of “battlefield action based on lethality,” the armed forces have convinced themselves that “pop-psychology” will quell the enemy.

Mullen’s crack analytical skills were on full display as he oversaw the U.S.-Pakistani military “alliance” – if that word can be used with a straight face. The Pakistani intelligence service (ISI) has notoriously used U.S. aid to arm jihadists. The ISI created and sustains the Taliban, and it uses the al Qaeda-affiliated Haqqani network in much the same way Iran uses Hezbollah: as a forward jihadist militia. Yet, as Diana West recounts, Mullen announced in 2009 that he had no intention of dwelling on the past since he was “here to write a history for the future” and “re-establish that trust” between nations.

Mullen’s fantasy was soon punctured. It turned out that Pakistan was harboring Osama bin Laden (who was shacked up for years in a compound virtually down the block from the national military academy). The ISI was also sharing U.S. technology with China, and enabling the Haqqani network as it attacked the American embassy in Kabul, among other U.S. interests. None of this would have been remotely surprising to anyone who has been paying attention for the last 30 years. But Mullen, as he rode off into the sunset of retirement, expressed shock at the ISI’s confederation with the anti-American jihad.

So to recap: with innate Muslim sympathies and under the counsel of Islamic supremacist advisors, Obama and Clinton direct a policy designed to empower Islamic supremacists whose ascendancy, inevitably, results in violent jihadist attacks against the West, including the strike against the U.S. compound in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. In desperation to cover their tracks after not only authoring this policy but denying security enhancements in the months prior to the siege, Obama, Clinton and their confederates concoct a fraud that – implausibly on its face – depicts the murderous attack as a protest that got out of hand over a video no one had seen. The farce allows them to rant indignantly about Islamophobia, catnip to their media allies. This is enough to cow Mitt Romney who, as a good establishment Republican, goes silent on Benghazi at the close of his inept presidential campaign – virtually endorsing Obama in the candidates’ final debate on foreign policy.

The jihadist slaughter of our ambassador and three other Americans is so grave, though, that the White House and its media cannot kill the story. As the drip, drip, drip of revelations illustrates administration malevolence and incompetence, Secretary Clinton seeks out Pickering and Mullen, two old reliable hands who, much like herself and her president, refuse to see any nexus between Muslim scripture and jihadist violence, support the policy of empowering Islamic supremacists, think the real security threat is Islamophobia, and have a history of overlooking inconvenient facts.

What a surprise that Pickering and Mullen should conduct an embarrassment of an investigation that fails to interview key witnesses (including, of course, Mrs. Clinton), and that fails to grapple with key events – like the infamous Susan Rice “talking points” that became increasingly fraudulent precisely because Clinton’s State Department kept pressing for more massaging of the facts.

What a surprise that, even as the predictably shoddy Pickering-Mullen report is now itself being investigated over its breathtaking omissions and spin, the Obama administration continues to tout it as “unimpeachable” bipartisan gospel.

It is a cynical strategy, but it’s been known to work.

The Muslim Brotherhood shovel needs to have a longer handle. Dig deeper.

As an old war horse used to siphoning through evidence and false statements, the hair on the back of my neck is standing straight up on this.

Not only was the Susan Rice and "redacted" report filled with lies and misdirections...the COVERUP itself feels as if it sends the boat around the back of the island.

There is MORE TO THE STORY than meets the eye. There is a dirtier deal beneath the surface. And, "catching them" playing politics with "al Qaeda is on the run"...is NOT IT.

The moment the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs dismissed Major Hassan's 'terrorist' killing spree as work place violence I knew the establishment jumped the shark. I'm not sure a nuke going off in Manhattan would alter the insane mind set in Washington.

There is an unasked question. I can't seem to put my finger on a plausible answer, either. What is the reason Clinton, in particular, would have for extending so much political capital towards defending/covering for Islamist radicals and regimes? The diversity/tolerance answer seems ridiculously shallow. Is her relationship with Huma Abedin clouding her judgement? I can't fathom that. Has Abedin managed to become Clinton's puppeteer? How?

Maybe Clinton resigned in an effort to come unstuck from Abedin. Maybe she is so compromised that she is being dragged back into presidential politics against her will in order to maintain whatever safehaven Abedin provides as long as Clinton stays in the game and cooperative. What could be more dangerous than a Clinton presidency under such a cloud of suspicions?

This whole scenario has the flavor of the Soviet infiltration of the U.S. government highlighted post-WWII.

What we got was "McCarthyism." Thing is, McCarthy's basic premise, though maybe not his tactics, were vindicated by the Soviet Archives and the Venona Files.

The investigators and the Congressmen pushing these investigation must avoid Joe McCarthy's mistakes.

Well, so much for Jay Carney's "men of unimpeachable expertise and credibility."

Clowns to the left of us, jokers to the right and here we are stuck in the middle again.

Thank you for the excellent article that sharpens the larger narrative of this scandal. The firing of Matt Dooley as explained yesterday in the Allen West interview is one of many instances of Islamo-conspiracy, to attack the West from within as part of their caliphate aspirations. I wonder if that word will ever be banned or censored as "hate speech". It appears that the Islamic world is uniting and convalescing patiently, quietly rising in similar fashion to China, while the American public watches sports and mindless entertainment.

Fascinating story, and sadly, very likely to be accurate. The MSM is already doing it's part by destroying the issue in the womb. Combine that with the complicity of the "bi-partisan" GOP establishment, and the issue wil be buried under the avalanche of Kate Middleton stories and other "cream puff " garbage that most Americans like to ingest.

I hope my comment doesn't have Hillary send some new version of Nixon's Plumbers after me. You know, wet ops and so on...but it appears that the Muslims, who have a fairly obvious sexual obsession laced with deviance in the name of Muhammad and so forth, have perfected the art of 'sleeper' agents. Huma.

The article is stunning. The can-opener revelations about the corruption of State and Clinton's ability to hire two lackeys to clear her name are startling enough. I have some familiarity with Pickering as a former Israel Amb. Mullen, I think, warned Netanyahu not to mess with Iran or something like that...

The real depressing news, or convincing presentation of what was somewhat known, is the evidence of what roll-over, distorted Quislings the McCains and Boehners are..

HUMA ABEDIN is a Muslim Brothehood operative ... and there are many more.
Notice that NOBODY mentions Huma ... evidence enough she is what she is. The Muslim Brotherhood/Al Qaeda have a strangle hold on this administration because Obama has allowed it and is now caught up in the fact that they are dictating HIS policies. Why do we tolerate the Muslim Briotherhood fronts in our midst? Why? Why? Why? All the focus and the projection is elsewhere; THIS is the real concern and furthermore; what the hell was Stevens doing going solo and at the Beghazi "consulate"???? And why were Al QAeda given security responsibility there? There is TREASON involved here ... big time; and all Americans and freedom loving people around the world deserve better than that.

I find it both clear and confusing - clear in that Islamic authorities of different kinds have a hold on this Administration (though this is not new, the extent is); confusing in that how do you figure where the loyalties of the disloyal lie? And in the past I have read claims by Spengler (I think) claiming that the Saudis and the MB are not friends. Yet it looks like they work together in the US. The difficulty for me in understanding actually comes from looking at the Saudi role in Egypt. While not open supporters of Mubarak, I don't think they were truly happy with the 'Arab Spring' there or the rise of the MB, if only because they want full monopoly on Sunni power...it really is hard to follow at times.

“…Nothing to see here – just “a few unspecified and unsubstantiated associations,” twaddled McCain.”

As the hearings proceed and the ugly story unfolds one should watch this guy…. John McCain. McCain is totally capable of planting a knife in Issa’s back. I don’t trust the man to any degree. When the truth begins to take a toll on old John’s beltway “friends” we will soon see what kind of a Republican John is and has been all along. If anybody from the Republican side helps the MSM circle the wagons around the administration it surely will be John McCain.

I always disagree strongly with everything the old coot does or says. He really needs to to get the hell out and retire while there are a handful of people left who still have some respect for him. I don't.
